Benchmark Balancer Mash® is a concentrated, grain-free feed balancer containing quality protein, essential amino acids, vitamins and minerals in a convenient mash formulation.

Containing 25% protein, 1.3% starch and 6.3% sugar, it provides concentrated nutrition in a small daily feed. It can be combined with pasture, hay, high-fibre feeds, grains or an additional fat source to create a ration suited to your horse’s individual energy requirements.

Ingredients

Lupin hulls, whole lupins, canola meal, Benchmark vitamin, mineral and amino acid premix, cold-pressed canola oil, limestone, lysine, dicalcium phosphate, magnesium oxide, salt, Agrimos® prebiotics and Yea-Sacc® probiotics.

Feeding Information

Introduce Benchmark Balancer Mash® gradually over 7–10 days. Feed by weight rather than volume and adjust the amount according to your horse’s body weight, workload, age, reproductive stage and body condition.

Benchmark Balancer Mash® can be fed dry or prepared as a mash.

To prepare by volume, add 2–3 parts cold or warm water to one part Balancer Mash®. To prepare by weight, add 1–1.5 litres of water for every 500g of dry feed.

Balancer Mash® is a concentrated feed balancer and must be fed with an appropriate source of fibre. It can also be combined with Benchmark Super Fibre Mash®, grains or a high-fat energy source when additional energy is required.

Provide at least 1% of your horse’s body weight in pasture, hay or another suitable fibre source each day. For example, a 500kg horse requires a minimum of 5kg of fibre daily. Ensure clean, fresh water is always available.

Horses with laminitis, PPID, insulin dysregulation, PSSM, equine metabolic syndrome or those recovering from illness or surgery should have their complete diet managed with guidance from a veterinarian or qualified equine nutritionist.
